My themes
I don’t know why there is such a crappy selection of S40 v3 themes on the internet. There is simply no appeal about them. Most of them have something or other that is wrong with it. Therefore, I have decided to create my own themes which are suited to my needs.
These themes feature clean, subdued backgrounds that are easy to read. Most of the themes on the web feature messy backgrounds which make the menus really hard to view. Some of you may find these sort of themes great. To each his own. But for me, I hate such themes.
The themes that I have done so far will be uploaded here. You can access it from the "My Stuff" page. I hope you enjoy them. Do remove the .jpg extension to unpack the theme archive to install the themes on your S40 v3 phone. For a guide to remove a file extension, please refer to http://fuckinggoogleit.com. Anyone of you remembers the Apple Newton MessagePad? They were launched in 1993 and discontinued due to competition from the new Palm Pilots and poor sales. However, they gained a small but passionate user base. What I want to highlight is the MessagePad 2100. The last Newton ever launched, it was a really powerful device for its time and combined new technologies that are still not obsolete today, like dual PC-Card slots. I was quite interested in the device, so I searched eBay for used sets. I did not get much quality results though. Nothing is listed on the Singapore site, and the US one only has a few listings, not particularly useful. So, I would like to make an appeal here. If anyone has ideas on where I can get ANY MessagePad with backlit screens(130/2000/2100) or eMate 300 either online or through a real-world seller based in Singapore, please contact me IMMEDIATELY at fordeuropean@gmail.com.
